Rung Darbar is a card game, not a data business. We collect the minimum needed to let you play with your friends, and nothing else. This page is the complete list.
What we collect
- Account — if you sign in with Apple, we store an anonymous account identifier and the display name you choose at the table. We never receive your password, and we don't require your email.
- Presence — while you use the app, your friends can see that you're online and, if you're at a table, that a seat is free to join. We also keep your phone's time zone, so that a Sunday recap arrives in your evening and nothing arrives at night. Each of these notifications has its own switch in Me → Notifications.
- Friends — your friend code and the list of friends you've added. Friends are added by code only; nobody can search for you by name.
- World play — if you choose the world table, the players at your table see your display name and avatar while the game runs; nothing else is shared, and there's no chat or voice with strangers. Report and block are one long-press away at the table.
- Table chat — at a Ludo table with friends you can type short messages to the people at that table. They pass through our relay to the other players and are not stored. There is no chat with strangers.
- Table voice — at a Rung table you can hold the mic and send a voice clip of up to five seconds to the people seated with you. The clip is uploaded to our storage, passed to the other players through our relay, played once and deleted within a day; the link to it expires within ten minutes. Nothing is recorded unless you hold the button, and we never listen to clips. Long-press a seat to mute it; Me → Table voice turns it off.
- Gameplay — game results (wins and games played) for your friends-only leaderboard, and live game state while a table is running.
- Notifications — if you allow notifications, a device push token so a friend's invite can reach your lock screen. Declining notifications changes nothing else about the app.
- Profile photo — optional. If you pick one, it is shrunk on your phone to a small square, stored with your account, and shown to your friends and at private tables. Players you meet at world tables see your avatar, never the photo. Remove it any time from Me → Table face, or by deleting your account.
- Crash reports — if the app crashes, a report goes to Google's Crashlytics so we can fix it: the device model, operating system version, what the app was doing, and a random per-install id that is reset when you delete the app. Never your name, friend code or account. Nothing is sent unless the app actually crashes.
- Usage — Google's Firebase Analytics receives anonymous usage events (a hand finished, a game shared, a screen opened) with a random per-install id, so we can see which parts of the game people use. It never receives your name, friend code, friends or messages.
- Ads — Rung Darbar shows a full-screen ad between hands, served by Google AdMob. Other ad networks bid for the same ad slots through AdMob: Unity Ads, InMobi, Liftoff Monetize and Chartboost. To do that, each of them receives your device's ad identifier, general device information, and a rough location derived from your IP address. iOS asks you first, in Apple's own words, whether this app may track you: say no and the ads simply stay generic. The game is identical either way, and nothing else on this page changes. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy; you can turn personalised ads off system-wide in iOS Settings at any time.
- This website — rungdarbar.app uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits, the referring site and the country without cookies, fingerprinting or any identifier that follows you. It is the only measurement on the site.
- Purchases — this version sells nothing. If that ever changes, purchases will go through Apple's in-app purchase system, Apple will handle the payment, and this page will say so first.
What we don't do
- No data sales, and no sharing of your account, friends, messages or game records with anyone. The only third parties involved are the ad networks named above, Google Crashlytics for crash reports and Google Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage, each exactly as described.
- No access to your contacts, precise location, camera or microphone beyond the hold-to-talk button at a table. The optional profile photo is chosen through the phone's own picker, which hands the app that one picture and nothing else from your library.
- Nothing you do at the table, your name, your friends, your results, is sent to advertisers.
- Playing as a guest against bots works fully offline, with no account and nothing collected at all.
Deleting your data
Me → Delete account in the app removes your account, friends, requests, push token, and game records from our servers immediately and permanently. Cosmetic preferences live only on your device. No app any more? Request deletion by email.
Where your data lives
On servers operated by DR technologies LLC on Amazon Web Services in the United States, used solely to run the game. Live game data and expired invitations are removed automatically.
Children
Rung Darbar is not directed at children under 13 and knowingly collects nothing beyond the list above from any player.
Changes
If this policy ever changes in a way that matters, the effective date above changes with it, and the app's update notes will say so in plain words.
